At the Southwestern corner of Nebraska we found a delightful State Recreation Area with a vast lake, sandy shores, and very good fishing for bass and walleye. The campground is very nice with trees, full hook-ups (except sites at water’s edge). There are new shower houses and separate new toilet houses, with handicap accessible facilities, as well as cement pad, no barrier, handicap sites.
The area is good for bird-watching, water skiing, and an excellent 18 hole golf course is just across the street.
Be sure to stop at the little store in Enders for your park permit and fishing license. Overnight rates are very nominal: $4 non-electric, $7 electric, $9 for concrete pad sites. A very pretty find!
